Bridget returns home at her brother’s, urging to deal with her ailing mother and her father’s reluctance to let go of their life together.
Elizabeth Chomko’s debut feature film WHAT THEY HAD had it’s premiere at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, where it scored among the top seven for the inaugural Festival Favorite award. WHAT THEY HAD was produced in partnership with BonaFide’s Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa, Keith Kjarval and Bill Holderman. It was acquired by Bleecker Street for a fall 2018 release and stars Hilary Swank, Michael Shannon, Robert Forster, Taissa Farmiga, and Blythe Danner. Chomko is a film director and writer, playwright and actor. She has appeared as a performer in various films and television series and in regional theaters across the US and London. She has written and directed plays for the Kennedy Center’s New Plays Festival, The Blank’s Living Room Series and Inkwell’s Playwriting LAB, among others. Her work has been supported by the Sundance Institute and awarded an AMPCS Academy Nicholl Fellowship in 2015.
