We know the unique challenges women, non-binary, and/or trans filmmakers face, and our programming is crafted to significantly and authentically support those voices who too often fall through the cracks. Pulling Focus

Pulling Focus is a monthly series of panels and workshops hosted by creative voices from historically marginalized backgrounds. Traditionally sidelined voices lead curated conversations around craft, the creative process, authentic authorship, and cinema’s place in ongoing social justice movements. Our slate of programming provides emerging filmmakers with invaluable advice and insider knowledge while educating the wider public about issues of parity in the film industry.

Fatales Forward

Fatales Forward is a trailblazing mentorship program for emerging trans filmmakers working on their debut or sophomore feature films. The program consists of three months of one-on-one mentorship with established gender diverse filmmakers, creative workshops, and ongoing artist development support. Together we will foster community, nurture artistic development, and build new pathways that lead to meaningful career advancement for the voices that the world so desperately needs to hear.

Parity Pipeline

The Parity Pipeline is a results-driven initiative from Film Fatales that fights inequities in the film industry by connecting underrepresented creators directly with key decision-makers. It functions as both a career development program for Film Fatales members from marginalized backgrounds and a content discovery platform for our industry allies, including over 200 production companies, financiers, programmers, grants, labs, fellowships, film festivals, and distributors.

Streaming Library

The Streaming Library supports a community of feature film and television directors of all marginalized genders, including spotlighting their work. We have cataloged our members’ films to create accessibility and uplift their careers.

Podcast

The Film Fatales Podcast is a bi-weekly series of conversations between a pair of feature filmmakers sharing knowledge about their craft and experiences in the film industry. Recent guests include Aurora Guerrero, Ciara Lacy, Jenni Olson, Tania Cypriano, and more.
