Four thirty-somethings set out for a night of misadventure and half-baked debauchery, determined to prove they still have what it takes to have a good time.
Mo Perkins received her bachelor’s degree at UCSC in film studies. While at Santa Cruz, she was awarded a fellowship to study film for a year in Budapest, Hungary. She then spent some time as post-production supervisor in San Francisco before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a Masters degree in directing at UCLA’s School of Film and Television. At UCLA she was the recipient of numerous awards including the DOROTHY ARZNER AWARD for women directors, THE WASSERMAN AWARD and the MPAA AWARD. My master’s thesis film, PISS HAT was selected for the UCLA DIRECTOR’S SPOTLIGHT AWARD and was a nominated for a STUDENT ACADEMY AWARD. Mo’s writer/directorial debut feature was an independent film called A QUIET LITTLE MARRIAGE. It had a wonderful cast including Mary Elizabeth Ells, Cy Carter, Charlie Day, Melanie Lynskey and many others. On the festival circuit it won many awards including the GRAND JURY AWARD for best narrative feature at SLAMDANCE and the AUDIENCE AWARD at AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL. It was picked up for distribution by IFC. Her second feature film was a dark comedy entitled THE LAST TIME YOU HAD FUN. This story is again about the pitfalls of marriage. This film also had an amazing cast, Demetri Martin, Eliza Coupe, Mary Elizabeth Ellis and Kyle Bornheimer. The premiered at the LOS ANGELES FILM FESTIVAL and was picked up by Gravitas for distribution Spring 2015. For Mo’s next project she is shopping a television project entitled The Farm about a group of idealists who leave the city to start a commune. It is a personal project based on her childhood. In addition to directing, Mo is a writer, a programer with the Slamdance Film Festival and a freelance editor.
