After the death of her parents, Ariana (Samantha Boscarino, Good Luck Charlie) is struggling to navigate the situation and decides to treat herself and get a seasonal membership at a swanky country club. But Ariana soon learns that life among the wealthy and golf-obsessed is a lot like being back in high school: cliques abound, mean girls everywhere, and only the richest kids get to call the shots. Will the country club change Ariana–or will it be the other way around?
Jeannette Godoy is a first generation, Mexican American director and writer. She started her career as a choreographer where she is most widely known for having choreographed the music video hit, Baby Got Back, by Sir Mix A Lot.
She recently celebrated the release of her first feature film, Diamond in the Rough, a Latina led comedy now streaming on Amazon Prime, as well as an episode of The Garcias, a family comedy for HBO Max.
Jeannette has a narrative pilot in development with Campanario Entertainment. Varsity Moves, is a YA, dance drama about Latinx teenagers and how they navigate coming of age as a person of color in today’s competitive, high school dance world.
Jeannette has directed commercials all over the world for the last 12 years. She is a fellow of the Black Magic Collective Breakthrough Initiative and the Sony Pictures TV Diverse Directors Program. She has shadowed director, Joe Menendez, on the Freeform series, Siren and Patricia Cardoso on of Party of Five.
