Mariko Munro

Mariko Munro’s first feature film American Milkshake, premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and was distributed by Phase 4’s Kevin Smith Movie Club. Her video for Emily Sundblad, “False True Love”, was included as Sundblad’s participation in the 2014 Whitney Biennial, and her short "Jack" premiered in 2016's BAM Cinemafest. Since 2016 Munro has produced and directed short form films for Sesame Street earning her a Daytime Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Interactive Media - Original Daytime Program or Series. Since 2020 Munro has been producing in the documentary space. Nam June Paik: Moon is the Oldest TV (produced by Munro, with Amanda Kim directing) premiered in Documentary Competition at Sundance Film Festival 2023.
