Christie Herring

Christie is an award-winning director, editor, and producer who has worked in documentary filmmaking for over 20 years. Recent credits include THE BIG SCARY "S" WORD (Editor, Co Producer - 2021 HotDocs, DocNYC), BIAS (Producer, Editor - 2018 Mill Valley, AFI), THE POINT OF NO RETURN (Editor - 2017 NOVA), and CODE: Debugging the Gender Gap (Producer, Editor- 2015 Tribeca). She directed and produced THE CAMPAIGN which aired on public television and screened at numerous film festivals and universities. Other credits include work with PBS, National Geographic, A&E, MBC1, the History Channel, and many nonprofit and corporate clients including Facebook, SFMoMA, Levis, the Mississippi Center for Justice, and the UC Berkeley School of Law. Christie was a Resident in SF Film's Film House, is an Expert with the American Film Showcase, and is the former Steering Committee Chair of educational film distribution coop New Day Films. She received her MA in Documentary Filmmaking from Stanford University.
