Brenda Lee Lau
I grew up in a small town in rural Wisconsin where I only dreamed of working in TV & Film. Ray Bradbury changed my life when he invited me to participate in his Hollywood Emersion Program for TV & Film students.
I loved being part of the ABC Creative Marketing team where I got to work with amazing talent in front and behind the camera – Paul Feig, Viola Davis, Kerry Washington, Jimmy Kimmel, Freddie Highmore, Taylor Swift, Ryan Seacrest, and many more. My responsibilities included writing/producing/directing/creative directing, launching Desperate Housewives, The Little Mermaid Live, The Good Doctor, Grey’s Anatomy, How To Get Away With Murder, Scandal, The Oscars and Lost to name a few. I got to work with amazing talent in front and behind the camera – Viola Davis, Kerry Washington, Jimmy Kimmel, Freddie Highmore, Taylor Swift, Ryan Seacrest, and many more.
At the same time, I pursued long form storytelling. Writing scripts, essays, and wrote, directed, and produced a couple of award-winning short films.
My scripted projects have attracted actors: Jaeden Martell, Ed Asner, Francois Chau, Marianne Muellerleile, Kim Rhodes.
I now run my own Production Company, A Bunch of Productions. I have been focusing on developing shows and writing.
My most recent project, Queer Church, a feature documentary is now in worldwide distribution on OUTtv.
