James Rigby’s story continues in THE CORONER'S ASSISTANT: THE EDUCATION OF JAMES RIGBY, delving into the dark corners of academia, friendship, and identity. Following a tumultuous few months in Oliver Cross’ world, James is eager to immerse himself in a new term at the Royal Academy of Medical Science. The school is abuzz with a rumor: a student has gone missing under mysterious circumstances just days before the start of the term. Grappling with guilt, doubting his intentions, and dependent on laudanum to numb his turmoil, James falls into a precarious friendship with a charismatic fellow medical student, Jim Morrison.
