Synopsis

New Ghaiana, Pennsylvania 1860 -1887 An isolated area which spans 39 acres where free and recently freed blacks live under the watch of the mayor and local shot expert, Ezra. Known for their enterprise, steel production, and gun manufacturing or simply BLACK STEEL, this prosperous black town excels during The End of the Civil War, Reconstruction, and the rise of Jim Crow despite growing opposition from neighboring whites. But their biggest challenges are coming from two sources. France. Being commissioned to construct part of the statue of liberty. And the South. With the birth and expansion of the Ku Klux Klan. But what their neighbors fail to realize is that Ezra isn't the only shot in New Ghaiana. They manufacture weapons first and foremost for their own people. New Ghaiana is as much an army as it is a strong community. BLACK STEEL is more than industry, more than weaponry... BLACK STEEL is the people.
